I've been sewing since I was young, watching my mom make my barbie's clothes and being anxious to 'play' with a sewing machine. It's always been play to me, and since I discovered patchwork and quilting in 1992, that has taken over! For the past 9 yrs, though, I have had chronic pain in my arms, neck and upper body with many different diagnosis so can't do as much as I would like. Buying my used Bernina Deco embroidery machine about 4 years ago has made detailed sewing fun again, since I just have to set it up and watch it go! I still love to do patchwork, but generally let someone else do the quilting. I love to read clean novels and enjoy regular Bible reading and study. I also love the challenge of buying 2nd hand garments and 'remodelling' them into fun and useful garments, bags and accessories. Of course, my top 'hobby' and love of my life is my hubby, "Pop", and my 4 children, their mates and 2 grandsons!
I love the minkee pals too. I like to go to the pet store and buy a pack of 'squeekies' that go in dog toys. they are about 5 for a dollar. I sew them inside and the kids love them! kathleen Higham
